Suffice it to say, the opinions on the Spectrum expressed last year still stand. However, not only has it been released in a new color, but the Spectrum is also $5 cheaper on the shelf. Given just how good it is…it’s worth at least a short post to highlight the occasion.
New Hotness
Performance still remains the same, with launch speeds in the upper 90s (and a couple shots breaking 100fps). The blaster still accepts all the same aftermarket 3d printed pieces that have been designed for it.
If anything, the only real difference I can spot is inside the blaster. The jam door switch has been reoriented, and there is now a plastic cover for retaining both it and the wiring. That cover, at least, will help in organizing new wiring for those of us that modify our blasters.
Last Thought
This is seriously a great deal; I have a hard time even remembering when the Nerf Elite Stryfe was $20. Now, in 2021, it’s been supplanted for the same price by a competitor. If your Walmart has them on the shelf, go ahead and grab one. It’s a must-have for any collection, and especially for those just starting to fling foam with their friends.
