Xshot Shocks with Pro Motorized AEG, Dart Zone Colors Up

Over the weekend, Xshot surprised the hobby world with an entry on Walmart – we have an AEG coming to store shelves! We haven’t seen one of those on a store shelf since the Nerf Stampede, and certainly nothing at the pro level.

Meanwhile, Dart Zone is getting those recolored Dart Zone Max blasters in stock on their website, with occasional flash sales as a promotion.

Let’s look at everything, shall we?

Skipping the Flywheels?

It seems odd, after seeing flywheel blasters released in the Insanity series, that Zuru wouldn’t follow that line of thinking for their next Pro blaster. But a surprise is welcome!

Some of the items may be things lost in translation – for example, that magazine certainly doesn’t hold 40 darts…but previous Xshot Pro blasters have come with 40 darts in the box. In addition, the listing lists AAA batteries as a power source, which seems incorrect.

Even so, a $70 pro auto-springer with select fire is exciting to see. Assuming, of course, Xshot makes a blaster that will hold up to abuse – those of us that show up to wars will definitely be firing these more than a few times.

The shipping date is unknown for now.

Dart Zone Goes Green and Blue

As we saw back at Toy Fair, Dart Zone was going to be throwing some of last year’s Dart Zone Max offerings on their website with new colors, along with accessories like magazine protectors.

Happily, those are now available online, and I made sure to order them when I got my last paycheck. Because of course I did.

Note that the magazine protectors do come with a coupon for 10% an item in a future purchase. In addition, Dart Zone’s social media has been posting flash sale coupon codes. So if you see one in the future, make sure to use it!
