Adventure Force Nexus Pro X2 Review

This review will be short; after all, I already reviewed the original version last year! The Nexus Pro X2 isn’t a new blaster, but rather a recolor. It’s also missing a few things from last year – no BCAR, only one magazine, short iron sights instead of larger ones, and a new priming grip. The tradeoff, however comes with a drop in price to $35. That’s a fair exchange for what is still one of the best pro blasters you can but on store shelves, period.

Pretty in Pink

Massive 3d printed short dart drum not included.

The Nexus Pro X2 is exactly what you’d expect. The adjustable buffer tube stock is still there, as is the option to swap out springs if you have the kit for it. The included rifling attachment still fits on the front of the blaster, or can be stored above the barrel if you’re using another accuracy-improving option from your collection. And you still get that little compartment in the stock for storing the extra gasket seal.

The new foregrip is a matter of personal taste. Given the spring load, I prefer more angled or vertical foregrips. The grip still rides on its own section of Picatinny rail, though, so it can be removed and replaced with the grip of your choice.

Speaking of rails, all the previous rails are still here. Go crazy.

Performance and Gameplay

The Nexus Pro X2 is still hitting hard, with my store-bought sample averaging 204fps, and with a 200fps average when the rifling attachment is used. I can do three darts per second when slam-firing, although your results will vary based on arm strength. I had no trouble feeding darts from any of my Adventure Force or Worker magazines.

Internals and Modification

It’s the same as before! And of course, given that the front of the blaster (the orange part) can pop out with just four screws, it’s easy to replace barrels and do other fun things to the blaster.

Final Thoughts

The Adventure Force Nexus Pro X2 clearly isn’t necessary if you already have the first version…but if you want one in pink (or blue, if you’re outside the United States), now’s your chance! Besides, $35 for a solid, 200fps blaster is nothing to sneeze at.
