Nerf Junior Wild Lionfury Review
February 25, 2024The Nerf Elite Jr. line certainly isn’t meant to be a powerhouse – I’m not sure how to rate it in that regard in terms of range, as you’ll see below. But don’t let a low range score fool you; for the target age range, the Lionfury is a great choice for entering the world of dart blasting. Not to mention I appreciate the return to cool alternative blaster designs – who knew I wanted a spiritual successor to Max Force 2112?
Hasbro 2024 Product Lookbook – New Nerf Incoming!
February 8, 2024We don’t have Toy Fair in New York this year, but companies are still announcing new products right now. In the case of Hasbro, that apparently includes late-night emails with PDFs full of product entries!
Nevertheless, let’s take a peek at some of the products announced – some we already know are coming, and a few that are new!
Nerf Elite Jr Racer Review
January 5, 2024Sometimes, simple is better. That’s especially true in the case of Nerf Elite Jr. You need to make blasters usable by young hands, but if you do too much with a blaster that fires lower velocities (like with the Explorer), you get a terrible product.
The Racer avoids that problem entirely. It fires two darts, without asking extra from the propulsion system. It’s easy to prime and fire, between the oversized trigger and priming handle. And it’s only $5! It’s hard to argue with the results here, because this is the perfect blaster for introducing young kids to the world of Nerf.

Nerf Elite Jr. Explorer Review

There’s an unwritten rule for selling blasters, but everyone knows it: it has to actually work. Sadly, the Explorer doesn’t fall in that category, and I sincerely hope that kids being introduced to Nerf aren’t given that particular blaster.

Nerf Elite Jr. Rookie Pack (Rambler) Review
December 18, 2022As Hasbro expands the reach of the Nerf brand, some attention will (naturally) go toward younger fans. After all, I can recall seeing plenty of people younger than 8 years of age (a common recommendation on blaster packaging) using blasters. In the case of Nerf Elite Jr., the goal is child-sized, easy operation, and appealing aesthetics.
In the case of the Amazon-exclusive Rookie Pack, the included Rambler blaster certainly fits the kid-sized requirement, and it is generally easy for kids to operate. However, between an essentially non-functional slamfire mechanism and the high price, I’m not sure if the Rookie Pack is worth the purchase.
