Dart Zone Vector Pro Makes a Splash!

Another year, and another *somewhat* surprise announcement from Dart Zone. Relative parity between their Walmart and Target offerings is expected (Nexus Pro v. Stryker, for just one example), so a Maxim Pro equivalent was to be expected. The format, however, was not.

The Vector Pro is a 150fps, bullpup-format blaster taking regular magazines. And it’s appearing right as Dart Zone magazines are hitting shelves, as well…

USE THE BOOST TO GET THROUGH!

Naturally, everything has marketing, including apparently the BCAR that’s designed to be used with the Vector Pro. We’ve seen BCARs used on some hobby blasters to increase accuracy – in those cases, it’s put as close to the flywheel cage as possible to minimize the chances of a jam happening. The BCAR here looks to be made that way – and just in case, you can easily access the barrel area to get to the BCAR.

There’s a bunch of other neat features, from a hidden stock attachment point to what looks like a Stryfe-style flywheel cage, at least from the virtual cross section seen on their Instagram post. It takes 8 AA batteries, but the tray can be removed to reveal an XT30 connector beneath it – so it’ll take their rechargeable battery packs. And it’ll be at Target at the end of the month for $45, alongside a green version of the Dart Zone Max Solo.

And Just in Time…

Dart Zone accessories are also finally arriving at Walmart. The most notable is a two pack of 15-round magazines, priced at $10. That’s…insanely affordable compared with buying Worker Talons online. If you needed to quickly get a loadout together, that’s an easy way to expand your carrying capacity.

There’s also a flip-down target set that I saw the prototype of at Toy Fair back in February…but this post is already going too long and sounding more and more like an advertisement.

Hopefully I get to find these things soon and see if they live up to the hype!
