Adventure Force Triple Blast Review

We already reviewed the Buzz Bee Mayhem Ruin, and gave it a good rating – after all, $3 for a blast that does that much is impressive. However, aside from Dollar General and some regional stores, it can be hard to find. To that end, there’s another option: Walmart has their own version for the same price point!

Also, if I’m going to recommend something as a stocking stuffer, I should review it!

Buying the Fraternal Twin

The Triple Blast is largely the same setup as the Ruin, including the screw placement and the two accessory plastic pieces that go around the (tiny) grip. As before, this is a surprisingly large plunger tube, barrels, and just barely enough room for a trigger. The priming handle is a bit different, using a simple hook in place of a pull loop. The clear priming tube has been replaced with green one, to match the bright aesthetics. The barrel assembly has a few differences as well…but I already have replacement barrels designed for it.

In other words, aside from a few tweaks for looks or making the blaster easier to manufacture (and cheaper for Walmart’s mass orders), it’s the same blaster.

I averaged 47fps with the stock barrels and darts, and two darts per second; of course, you only have three darts total. It’s very much a pocket blaster, but there’s a place for those in the arsenal.

Tiny blasters. They’re always fun!

Last Thoughts

The Adventure Force Triple Barrel isn’t going to win any Blaster of the Year awards. But it has one job, and it does it well enough. Grab one if you want to start a kid blasting, or if you want that emergency backup.
