Dart Zone Reveals the Stryker 2.0 and Venom Pro!

Just in time for the 4th of July, Dart Zone has dropped pictures and video (with assistance from Captain Xavier and Dartsweep) of two new blasters coming at the end of July, both for $50. They’re apparently on display at Fan Expo in Denver, so if you’re in the area and attending, check the booth!

The Venom Max – Full Auto Pistol

Worker has had Nightingale blasters available for a while now, with the newest version now on hobby websites. The competitor being at Target for $50, though, is going to be hard to beat.

The Venom Max takes Dart Zone’s 2s Li-Ion rechargeable pack, and uses magazines shaped like the slim angled Talons of the Nightingale. It actually comes with two magazines, as well as the darts to fill them, which is a huge plus for introducing a new magazine (in relative, general consumer terms, not hobbyist) to store shelves.

The blaster’s rev trigger is actually the back of the grip, in that curved area. You hold the blaster tight, just not too tight, and when you want to fire, you grip a little harder to rev the blaster, then press the trigger. It’s a full-auto blaster, firing at seven darts per second. Based on the box, it fires near 130fps, but if you want to be absolutely sure the blaster is HvZ legal, it’s possible to shove a SCAR barrel in it to slow the darts down to around 100fps.

Dart Zone Max Stryker 2.0 – Use it Your Own Way

The bigger announcement, however, was the Stryker 2.0. It’s combined the features of the original Stryker and the Tomcat, while adapting a common community mod for magazine compatibility. The package comes with both a 25-round drum and a 15-round curved magazine. There are barrel attachments, enough darts to fill the loadout completely, and an adjustable stock.

When primed with the handle back, the drum can be removed, and the magazine adapter inserted. So you can use the blaster with whichever feeding method you like. It’s expected to fire around 200fps. So getting both blasters for $50 each is a stupidly good deal.

One last note: the blasters feature the new Nitroshot+ version of bamboo darts. They should be accurate, of course, but we’ll have to see how they compare to the old darts.

In any case, thanks to Dart Zone for the info drop, as well as letting some community members in on the fun of introducing the blasters!
