Blasters in Türkiye? Vacation 2026
August 10, 2026I’m on vacation, on the other side of the planet, so of course I’m going to check out a few toy stores and see what’s on shelves! Not surprisingly, there’s still a lot of N Series to be found (it was made to be sold everywhere, after all), but there are a few other interesting things to note. On to the pictures!
Toyzz Shop – More Buzz Bee and Zecong than Expected!
Toyzz Shop is one of the largest toy-specific chains in Türkiye, with several within easy walk or transit of the core of Istanbul (Taksim Square and the surrounding neighborhoods). The stores also have tiny entries in the airports, although you won’t find blaster there for obvious reasons.
I visited a few of the shops five years ago, and I’m back again!
It’s fascinating to see how many things become a store brand (Sunman Toys, in this case). To be more precise, Sunman owns the Toyzz Shop store chain, and is also a toy manufacturer in their own right, but in some cases will order things under one of their brands (Zapp Toys). In other cases, like with Buzz Bee, Canard, or Xshot, they’re the importer of record, putting a “Sunman” sticker on the box indicating their responsibility for products/things meeting regulations. Largers brands (Hasbro) have their own distribution chains and are their own importer or record, selling things to stores. Toy distribution is fun!
Anyway…Toyzz has more Buzz Bee and Lanard products than I see in a lot of places in the US. And that applies to both dart and water blasters! Additionally, a bunch of the Zecong Toys entries were packaged under the Zapp Toys branding, as were products from other manufacturers (battery-powered off-brand soakers, etc.). I hadn’t seen Zombie versions of the Lanard Big Brute or the Pocket Rocket. They came with cute, tiny zombies and accessories, but weren’t really worth the price.
There was one thing I hoped to find – the Zecong Toys version of the Dart Zone Velocity – but that appears to be out of stock in most stores in Turkey, requiring more metro travel than I care to deal with. Especially when I’m here with the wife to see family!
Armağan Oyuncak
This is more of a pure store chain, as opposed to a subsidiary of a toy company. So it had a lot more items from Hasbro, for example.
Armağan Oyuncak also had a lot of Fast Pioneer blasters, made by Bai Hui Toys. Some of those blasters can be found or ordered in the US, but I have yet to see a substantial presence for some of their take on “blaster skins”. I ended up getting one of those blasters to mess around with once I get home. Unlike last time, I have luggage space to spare!
There were also a few odds and ends, with Fast Shots and Attack Force X branded blasters.
