Dart Zone Pro Countdown Appears!
March 19, 2019This was pointed out on the r/nerf subreddit late last night. Depending on search terms in Google (Dart Zone 2019 or Dart Zone Blasters 2019), the first page of results shows a countdown for Dart Zone Pro on part of the Dart Zone website. So it isn’t exactly hidden.
As of when I last checked, the countdown featured on the website ends on April 9th, around 5:00PM EST. Admittedly, the time seems to vary by a few minutes, according to people in other time zones that have looked at the countdown.
After the lack of new things at Toy Fair, this is very exciting for me. I keep track of trademarks, patents, etc. as best as I can, and yet this appeared out of nowhere. At most, there are a couple potential blaster names like “Savage Spin” trademarked but whose properties are unknown. So “Dart Zone Pro” is basically being trademarked as we speak.
We Know…Nothing?
Is it a new blaster line? Who knows. We already have Ballistix Ops for Rival-type blasters. Maybe the “Pro” part refers to the things that hobbyists use most often, like actual magazines or actual attachments. Is it some kind of blaster league? After all, we have various organizations already, and Nerf themselves is known for things like Dart Tag.
In the end..we just don’t know. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Fortnite Mega Blaster Announced!
March 18, 2019Here we go – now that I’m home from work, I can do the typical press announcement sharing. Per Hasbro:
Take your FORTNITE battles into real life with this NERF MEGA blaster that features pump-action blasting! The NERF FORTNITE TS blaster is inspired by the blaster used in the popular FORTNITE video game, replicating the look and colors from inside the game. Load 4 darts into the internal clip, prime, and pull the trigger to fire a dart. It comes with 8 Official NERF MEGA darts. The stock has dart storage, so you can keep 4 backup darts within reach for fast reloading. Official NERF darts are designed for distance, tested and approved for performance and quality, and constructed of foam with flexible, hollow tips. Drop into indoor and outdoor FORTNITE action with this pump-action, dart-firing NERF FORTNITE blaster that’s powered by you — no batteries required. Includes blaster, accessory (2 pieces), 8 darts, and instructions. Available at most major toy retailers nationwide. Available for pre-sale at Amazon and other major retailers.
Images are below. Also note that MEGA dart packs will also be available!

Zuru Xshot Vigilante (2018) Review
March 17, 2019Zuru redesigned many blasters in the Xshot lineup last year, with the Xshot Xcess perhaps seeing the most impressive overhaul. Also included in the revamped lineup was the Vigilante, with a slick new body, good looking paint scheme, and the same silly break-open loading. It’s not the most war-worthy blaster, but it’s a lot of fun and packs a nice punch.

Xshot Fast Fill Review
March 13, 2019The current water blaster landscape is, aside from a few exceptions, dominated by manually-fired pump blasters. Because of that, available blasters have to stand out in some way. In the case of the Xshot Fast Fill, it’s being able to, well, fill it fast. That, coupled with a decent water output, makes for a fun, if otherwise standard, water blaster for a good price.

Nerf Blaster Scooter Review (Flybar)
March 11, 2019Author’s note: while I did buy one of these myself, I also got one sent to me (for free) by Hasbro. Thanks, guys!
The Nerf brand is most closely associated with the blasters, balls, and foam sports equipment. Sometimes, however, it ends up in the strangest of places, like the Nerf Battle Racer. In the same vein, we now have the Flybar Nerf Blaster Scooter. It’s literally a kid’s scooter with a Nerf blaster mounted on top of the handlebars. It’s obviously meant for kids, even if some adults like me are light enough to safely use it. The blaster is very limited in usefulness while mounted, and seems to have issues with half the magazines I try to use with it. It’s still a fun toy, and it’s something I’ll gladly tear apart and rebuild for science, but it’s not something I’d recommend buying.

#NERFNation Package!
March 6, 2019It was a hastily made unboxing video, where I didn’t even check to see if my wifi was enabled. As such, the resolution suffered.
However, there’s a bunch of cool things in my package! Thanks to Hasbro for sending the free things! #NERFNation #FreeStuff
Notice on the Lack of Updates
March 4, 2019I realized today that it’s been nearly a week – there is content to come, I promise. I’ve just been dealing with some personal/family issues, and as a result the motivation for Nerf (outside of doing a few mods to keep myself busy) hasn’t quite been there. We’ll be fully up and running by the end of the week, however. See you then!
